Drive to Phobjikha across Dochula Pass. Valley of Punakha & Wangdi. Drive to Phobjikha.

Phobjikha ~ Tongsa ~ Bumthang

Visit the Gangtey Gonba. Drive to Tongsa. Drive to Bumthang.

Bumthang

Bumthang valley is one of the most sacred in the kingdom and innumerable legends surround the area. It is here that the kings were cremated and the present royal families trace their ancestry back to a famous saint called Pemalingpa. Visit ancient temples.

Wangdi ~ Punakha ~ Wangdi

Visit to Khamsum Yuley Namgyal Temple and Punakha Dzong. Visit Chimi Lhakhang "Temple of Fertility" temple dedicated to Drukpa Kunley, "The Divine Mad Man".

Wangdi ~ Thimphu ~ Paro

Drive to Paro via Thimphu.
